Based on a true story.
I woke up to excruciating pain, three broken bones, and a dozen cameras pointed at me. A burly, Romanian crew member lifted me over his shoulder and carried me up rocky steps to an ambulance.
For the next six months I couldn't walk.
Wait, I think I'm getting ahead of myself.
Hi, my name is Casey, I was born and raised in South Florida and fell in love with making films at 6 years old then began digital editing at 12. After attending film school at University of Miami, I went to work as a video editor at Publicis Sapient, then soon moved to copywriting.
Because I go for it.
I ended up having such a great experience, that I went back for "Bachelor in Paradise." Unfortunately, lack of sleep, excess stress and heat got the best of me, and I fainted... only to wake up with those three broken bones. The silver lining? Being physically incapacitated pushed me to put all of my energy into my work and creativity. As creative director at GlueIQ for the last two years, I've led creative on multiple major business-winning pitches (Dodge, Margaritaville, Pollo Tropical, Brightline), and now lead a creative portfolio of $4MM.
When I'm not working, I'm spending time with my fiancée and our rescue animals, or making music. Please enjoy this silly music video I made at the beginning of COVID. I love to make people smile :)
Life is funny.
My whole world changed when I began working in advertising. This creative endeavor gave me extraordinary purpose and drive like never before. I loved the responsibility, collaboration, and sense of discovery.
My personal life meanwhile became a bucket list blitz, from skydiving to white water rafting, to visiting over 40 countries, and attempting to hike all the great mountains around the world.
Then in the summer of 2021, I got an absolutely ridiculous DM from a producer of ABC's "The Bachelorette." I thought it was a joke. It wasn't.
